Logic Challenge with TriMerge

Simple Rules

  • Starting Step: Only 1 can be combined with 2 (and vice versa) to form a 3.
  • Continuing: From 3 onwards, tiles can only be merged with tiles of identical value that are all multiples of 3 (e.g., 3+3=6, 6+6=12, 12+12=24, ...).

This rule forces you to actively use the grid edges to combine 1s and 2s, then focus on doubling larger numbers.

Space and Time Challenge

After each move, a new tile (usually 1 or 2) is added to the grid, filling your space.

The game ends when the grid is completely filled and there are no more merging moves. The tension increases as you have to balance creating large numbers and keeping the board clear.

The Secret to Optimizing Your Score

To overcome numbers like 96, 192, or 384, you need a clear strategy, similar to long-term planning for a campaign.

  • Try to consolidate and keep the largest number of tiles in one fixed corner of the board. This prevents the tile from getting stuck between smaller numbers, facilitating the merging of subsequent tiles toward that corner.
  • Always look for moves that allow you to merge multiple pairs of numbers in a single swipe. This not only increases your score rapidly but also frees up space much more effectively than merging just one pair.
  • Managing 1s and 2s: Avoid letting too many 1 and 2 tiles get scattered. Prioritize using the grid edges to merge them into the number 3, turning them from obstacles into valuable ingredients.

This is not just a relaxing pastime but also a test of your ability to plan long-term and execute a strategy under spatial pressure. Play now on Uno Online and see what the record number your intellect can create is!
